Nick Steinman
The intention in my work is to depict iconic, simple, overlooked moments in life. My paintings reimagine visually charged memories, both melancholy and comforting. The work is about emotion, representing feelings of which I connect to nature, being alone, and the beauty of a brief moment.
Bio:
Nick Steinman is an artist living in Philadelphia, PA. Steinman paints simple dream-like landscape oil paintings. Working serially has allowed Steinman to focus on the impact of his color choices as well mark-making and paint handling. Steinman was recently part of a group exhibition at the National Liberty Museum, located in Philadelphia. Born in 1998, Steinman grew up in Schwenksville, PA. He went on to study Fine Art at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA where he is in the process of receiving his BFA. Steinman is currently a curator at Gallery One in the Kimmel Center.
