I create abstract paintings that explore the interplay between color, form, and texture. Each piece is a reflection of my innermost emotions and experiences, translated onto the canvas through a spontaneous and intuitive process. As I approach the blank canvas, I let go of all preconceptions and allow the painting to unfold organically. I use a variety of tools and techniques, such as layering, blending and mark-making, to create depth and complexity in the work. Through the use of vibrant colors and bold shapes, I aim to create a sense of energy and movement within each piece to evoke a visceral response in the viewer. My self-portraits with buildings, graffiti tags and street art show my connection to the city. My portraits involving silk, drapery, patterning, the blood flow under skin, and the color pink reveal my connection to femininity.
